Power Coalition for Equity & Justice's Get Out & Vote Toolkit:
Clear information and resources to support every Louisiana citizen to become a "Power Voter". Power Voters make a voting plan and know their rights so that they can:
1. Vote in every election (including local races)
2. Hold our elected officials accountable
3. Advocate for equity and justice in my community
One of the especially helpful resources in this toolkit answers the question: "What do your elected officials do?" If you care about 1. expanding economic, healthcare and education opportunities to every person in every community, 2. Criminal justice reform, and 3. Fair, equitable electoral districts, be sure you know what your State Senators and Representatives, District Attorney, local school board members, and Parish Council/Police Jury members do. And vote for the candidates in these local and state races who best reflect your priorities - those are the races that most affect your day to day life.
